Product Development Manager / Senior - Malacca

Responsibilities

• To design and develop new products as identified by management.

• • Coordination on cost reduction and 2nd source project to meet cost reduction target set by management.

• • Qualification of process/material changes PCN by suppliers to ensure the changes done by suppliers have no deteriorating impact on the form, fit, and function of final product.

• • Liaise with marketing on potential products to analyze feasibility of derivative products per marketing request.

• • Participation in Quality Management System to ensure that development activities meet the requirement specified in the Quality Manual.

• • To provide technical support on yield and quality improvement programs.

• • Control of budget & expenditure for identified projects to ensure that development activities are within the approved budget.

• • Set departmental directions, policies, and guidelines.

• • To ensure customer requirements are addressed which includes:-

• o Coordinate and support in realizing corporate quality objectives and related training.

• o Corrective action & preventive action.

• o Liaise with corporate/customer on product requirement

Requirements

• • PhD or Master or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Material Science, Chemical) or its related field

• • Minimum 5 years of working experience preferably in semiconductor industry in the field of package development or assembly engineering

• • Experience in lead frame packages (IC) assembly industry

• • Experience in Project Management

• • Good knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), risk analysis/assessment

• • Understand technical and cost interrelations/correlations
