Responsibilities
You will provide leadership in the development of Standard Designs, Platforms or complete products from Conceptualization to Production by managing a multi-discipline team comprising of Commercial Marketing Manager, Industrial Designer, Design Leader, Business Analyst (Costing), Purchaser, Plastic Engineer, Quality Engineer, Production Engineer and Logistic Planner to deliver the defined project in time, within cost and at the right quality.
You must also possess the ability to coordinate projects across multi-sites with OEM/ODM suppliers in Asia as well as production facilities in Brazil, China and Indonesia.
You will be responsible for the total project organization and formulation of overall project plan, including risk mitigation and contingency plans. You must also communicate clearly and concisely the project status through weekly reports or during management reviews.
You are responsible for identifying required activities and resources and assign responsibilities within the team. You must also possess enough experience to challenge your team members on their deliverables and commitments, ensuring a timely delivery of the project and in good quality.
You are responsible for preparation of resource budget for the project execution and track the expenditure over the lifetime of the project. And conduct a thorough post-mortem at the end of the project.
Requirements
Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical discipline preferred).
More than 5 years experience in product development. Experience in Mechanical related development preferred.
Knowledge of project management tools and processes mandatory.
Able to manage finances and drive cost reduction programs.
Strong communication and presentations skills.
Strong leadership and ability to guide and coach team members for performance.
Business-minded go getter, result-oriented and able to influence team members and stakeholders alike.
