The planner is responsible for managing the integral supply chain to match demand and supply, using the company infrastructure and planning systems. To ensure an optimal, efficient and integral execution of the planning process within the given boundaries and supporting the division business targets and customer satisfaction goals.
Key areas of responsibilities:
- Management of the backlog in the system
- Anticipates tactical changes for things that may affect products, locations and future manufacturing configurations
- Ensure confirmed delivery dates (minimizing late deliveries)
- Minimize the overall inventory levels for the product portfolio that is managed. Planner challenges priorities and cycle time in
- Ensure capacity loading in such a way as to meet the strategic requirements of the division (preferred utilization of fabs, processes, testers, customer qualifications etc)
- Allocate the short-term commercial product availabilities related to urgent customer requests
- Ensure a pro-active PDCA cycle for his/her product portfolio which is related to the business KPIs and the planning process
