The Function holder is responsible for the implementation and improvement of the Supply Management objectives and the day-to-day management of the resale purchasing process to assure a consistent supply of high quality goods and services against the best possible terms. Function holder makes optimal use of the supply market to support the commercial business and monitors the overall supply costs (TCO). Function holder is stationed in Singapore.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
Defines, implements, manages and deploys, together with the Senior Director Supply Mgt, the strategy, tactics and objectives for purchased Resale goods and services in the APAC market.
Ensures timely contracts and delivery of materials/services necessary against the best possible terms to execute projects and services in the APAC region.
Develops & maintains appropriate links with BU/Global Commercial Operations Commodity Managers to ensure successful execution of global strategies & objectives.
Facilitates and supports the appointment, rationalisation, regular evaluation and the establishment of agreements with local key suppliers (resales products and services) in each country in cooperation with the country SCM team.
Reviews, recommends and coordinates the approval of non-std supplier payment terms in collaboration with the Senior Dir Supply Mgt.
Ensures that adequate actions are in place and followed up for continuous quality and supply improvements such as reduction of cost, non-quality and lead time with critical component management where needed.
Creates a clear savings list for products & services and initiates savings by working with suppliers in cooperation with country and global colleagues and keeps track of these savings with regularly status reports.
Participates in ensuring that regional key supplier relationships are defined via written agreements that meet the long and short-term needs of the business. Existing agreements are re-viewed to ensure they meet these requirements and mechanisms created to ensure contract compliance.
Works effectively with all levels of management, other departments and cross-functional teams to nsure that the process requirement / improvement needs are met, in an accurate and timely manner.
Participates to inform Commodity Managers and suppliers in the areas of cost, quality and delivery performance and initiates actions to improve results.
Participates in the development of a global resale products catalogue. Leads the development of a regional catalogue which may include global, regional and country products with the goal of making available endorsed products with consistent mark-ups
Act as a contact point for other regions/BU’s who are seeking to source products from Low Cost Countries in APAC.
Key issues:
Transformation of the current country-focused supply function to a leveraged supply function across the company for Resale parts and services.
Improve the Resale supply base to world class levels.
Increase the performance of the Resale supply base whilst optimizing its size.
Realize or exceed the saving targets as set by Global Operations Management model
Job holder will manage a team of 1-3 purchasing officers directly as the Singapore Business Center grows and evolves.
Total Resale purchasing turnover (15-25 M Euro)
Very large supply base across multiple geographies
Job holder is located in the Singapore Business Center and is part of the Global Commercial Operations group
