Assistant Tooling Manager (TP)

Responsibilities

• To establish the schedule for all tools and be responsible of its execution within the agreed Plastic Toolbound Strategy

• Manage the toolmaking process (quotation comparison, technical discussions, targets, tool budget including modifs, mould release)

• Lead and participate in tool specification process

• Monitor progress of Mould making process according to agreed time schedule, via progress reporting from toolmaker and via assessment at tool maker. The entire process starts from the beginning until CROV is met successfully

• Participate on behalf of GDC and regions in off-tool meetings

• Manage process of tool release at toolmaker

• Manage the sample building when the tools is still at the toolmakers for PIC build

• Support tool engineer at site in case of abnormal situation during ramp-up in region

• Develop and manage the adequate Plastic Mould maker supplier base as define by the CLAN

• To use the technical support of (SBMT) Tooling expert where needed

• Participate in process of mould allocation , mold makers capabilities matrix

• Manage corrective actions based upon assessments and performances measurement of suppliers in your package (SRS/project)

• Assist in PBE/PST improvement actions

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 - 5 years’ working experience

• Experience in moulding process and technology know how will be advantageous

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Self-motivated, initiative and a team player
