Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Taking leadership and responsibility of the software design and implementation framework for new products, starting at conception;

• Leveraging on experience to provide innovative insights on how to fulfill new product development needs and customer requirements;

• Mentoring team members to ensure all-round competency

• The Principal Engineer will have the flexibility and the independence to work on defining the long-term vision for the software team, as well as work with the brightest minds.

Requirements

• Have considerable hands-on experience in

• -- Designing and developing software for near real-time systems

• -- C++ and object-oriented technologies in a Unix / Linux environment

• -- STL / Design Patterns / Generic Programming

• -- Web, database and networking technologies

• -- Distributed computing

• Be familiar with the entire product development life-cycle

• Be determined to acquire new knowledge about related advanced technologies

• Be infectiously enthusiastic and motivated

• Be capable of working independently but be a great team player

• Have excellent communication and organizational skills
